Learn more at www.dminc.com About the Opportunity DMI, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator, MAC to join us. Duties and Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain development and production servers, including associated hardware and software, ensuring reliability and high availability across multi-redundant infrastructures. • Build, configure, and optimize macOS systems (as well as Unix systems) from initial setup; administer Apache web server environments with a focus on performance tuning, security hardening, and compliance. • Provide on-site and after-hours server administration support, resolving critical issues and sustaining uninterrupted operations for mission-critical systems. • Perform system maintenance functions, including patch management, log analysis, user access administration, backup oversight, and desktop support in accordance with NIH security standards. Implement, configure, and manage digital certificates; participate in annual Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) audits; collaborate with NIH security teams to document and execute corrective action plans. • Evaluate workflow, security, and infrastructure challenges using analytical methods, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve performance and compliance. • Leverage technical expertise in shell scripting, version repository management, VM deployment for macOS, and software tools such as OpenSSH and Homebrew to streamline operations and enhance system functionality. Qualifications Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: • 7 years Systems Administrator experience • Candidate should be local to Rockville or Bethesda, MD to be able to perform any physical maintenance or tasks needing hands-on management of THE CLIENTS servers, and relatively quickly if it is an emergency situation. Aside from that, it is largely a remote position, as the servers can be managed offsite for the most part. Having said that, THE CLIENT is replacing all of its current servers with 4 new servers, all to be equipped with a variety of VM's running Mac OS, and that will take a fair amount of on-site time while that takes place.
