Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications across various platforms, including mobile and web. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. The Quality Assurance Tester will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products that meet user requirements. Responsibilities • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications. • Perform functional, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing. • Utilize automation tools such as Selenium and TestNG to enhance testing efficiency. • Conduct root cause analysis to identify defects and ensure timely resolution. • Collaborate with development teams in an Agile environment to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes. • Test mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms for functionality and usability. • Analyze data from tests to provide insights into software performance and quality. • Maintain documentation of test results, defects, and overall quality metrics using tools like Jira or HP ALM. • Participate in requirements gathering sessions to ensure comprehensive test coverage. • Engage in A/B testing to validate new features and enhancements. Qualifications • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. • Experience with test automation frameworks like JUnit or Cucumber. • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services (SOAP), and database management (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server). • Knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab. • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile and Waterfall. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis and troubleshooting. • Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or similar. • Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Maven. • Knowledge of mobile testing practices for both Android and iOS platforms is a plus. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
