Full Description

This is an exploratory, unpaid collaboration for early-career engineers who want hands-on experience in cloud-native ML and industrial AI. DigiFab AI DigiFab AI is building the real-time quality intelligence layer for advanced manufacturing. This early role is for someone who wants to explore a deep tech problem space with us and help shape an early demo. It is a collaboration role for people who want experience in AI for industrial systems, Google Cloud, and advanced manufacturing. What you will work on • Build small ML pipelines that run cleanly end to end • Implement basic sensor fusion logic across images, thermal data, and logs • Run experiments on Google Cloud (Vertex AI, Cloud Run, IAM) • Help assemble a simple demonstrator showing defect detection concepts in LPBF and DED • Work directly with the founder in short, focused iterations Required skills • Strong Python • Experience with ML or computer vision • Hands-on Google Cloud experience (IAM, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run) • Ability to navigate messy real-world data • Ability to ship small, correct features quickly Bonus skills • Exposure to metal additive manufacturing • Thermal or industrial sensor data experience • Real-time inference or edge architectures Who this is for • Builders who want hands-on experience in deep tech • Engineers exploring AI for manufacturing, robotics, or cloud-native ML • People who enjoy early-stage exploration and lightweight collaboration • Individuals interested in being considered for paid and equity roles as we grow Compensation This is an unpaid, exploratory collaboration. We are pre-funding, so this is best suited for people who want experience in: • ML for industrial systems • Google Cloud applied to manufacturing • Early-stage AI product development Future paid roles or equity allocations may be considered for contributors who stay on as the company grows.
