Vision At Dify, we believe that while AI’s "technical logic" is on the cusp of mass adoption, the true chasm lies in interaction (UX). The industry remains confined within the rudimentary Chat textbox. We are looking for a visionary who can transcend current frameworks to build an interaction paradigm for Agents, Skills, and Prompts that is as intuitive, powerful, and universal as JavaScript/CSS was for the web. You will not just be defining a product interface; you will be defining the next-generation standard for how humans collaborate with General Artificial Intelligence. Core Responsibilities • Paradigm Definition: Reimagine the interaction logic of Agentic Workflows. Define the UI-layer manifestation of Prompts when they are no longer just text, but interactive, composable "meta-elements." • Interaction Architecture: Design interaction protocols that support complex task orchestration and multi-agent collaboration, lowering the cognitive barrier from "understanding the tech" to "harnessing the tech." • 0-to-1 Breakthroughs: Lead the team to move beyond existing UI templates and explore an AI-Native interaction language. Solve the challenges of transparency, human-in-the-loop intervention, and determinism during Agent execution. • Cross-disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with top-tier engineers to translate complex technical backends (e.g., Vector Databases, Long-term/Short-term Memory, Tool Calling) into elegant, frictionless user experiences. Who We Are Looking For • Deep HCI Lineage: You don’t just follow trends; you possess a profound understanding of the evolution of HCI since the 1960s—from NLS to GUI, and WIMP to the Mobile Internet. • UX Over UI: You prioritize interaction logic, information density, and cognitive load over mere visual flair. We value a robust interaction framework over a "polished" but logically flawed UI. • Technical Sensitivity: You understand the boundary of LLM capabilities. You should understand Prompt structures as deeply as a developer understands the DOM tree, and perceive Agent Skills as clearly as an API. • World-Class Standards: Ideally, you have experience at institutions or labs with an obsessive pursuit of interaction (e.g., Apple, Xerox PARC, Dynamicland), or you have independently created a widely recognized interaction paradigm. Bonus Points • Unique insights into the interaction design of Explainable AI (XAI). • A deep understanding of the efficiency logic in "productivity tools" (referencing the likes of Notion, Figma, or early OS kernels). • An "Evangelist" mindset—the ability to output philosophical frameworks regarding AI interaction to the community and the industry at large.
