Mechanical Construction Project Manager | HVAC, Piping & Plumbing Detroit, MI We’re partnered with a well-established mechanical contractor supporting commercial and industrial projects throughout the region. They’re adding a Project Manager to lead mechanical scopes from preconstruction through closeout on technically complex work. This role is ideal for a PM who comes from a true mechanical construction background and is comfortable managing HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects with multiple stakeholders and tight schedules. What You’ll Be Doing • Manage mechanical construction projects from award through closeout • Oversee HVAC, piping, and plumbing scopes on commercial and industrial jobs • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and GC partners • Manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and cost forecasting • Lead submittals, RFIs, buyout, and material procurement • Support project execution with strong field awareness and communication What We’re Looking For • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Construction Project Manager • Strong background in HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems • Experience delivering projects $2M+ in value • Exposure to commercial and/or industrial environments • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously • Mechanical contractor experience (not facilities or service-only roles) Why This Opportunity • Stable backlog of commercial and industrial mechanical work • Projects that are technically engaging—not cookie-cutter • Strong operational support and experienced field leadership • Competitive compensation, benefits, and long-term growth path If you’re a mechanical PM looking for a solid platform, strong projects, and a company that understands construction, this is worth a conversation. • Apply here or reach out directly for a confidential discussion.
