Legal developments actually excite you, and you strive to always be on top of the latest decisions and newly promulgated laws. You see your job as a lawyer as a mission to ensure that your client is at the center of the experience. It's not only about winning cases, it’s about the holistic client experience, from onboarding, representation, and offboarding. You frown when documents are poorly formatted, punctuation is off and there's one too many mistakes. The peculiarities of the English language fascinate you, you get excited when you learn a new word, and when you can use it in your latest brief. Words are your craft, and you relentlessly work to get better at it. You like orderly and predictable processes that are teachable and lead to exponential growth. You enjoy sharing your knowledge with people around you and thrive on building up other people. When it looks like there's a dead-end, you don't turn off your car and give up. Instead, you start digging a hole seeing where it'll lead you. You look for solutions, not excuses. REQUIREMENTS: For this position, the applicant must: • Be bilingual (perfect Spanish/English) with excellent written and verbal communication skills; Barred in any US jurisdiction; • Have at least three years of previous asylum experience with solid skills in handling both affirmative and defensive asylum cases, from start to finish, with minimal supervision; • Be highly organized and attentive to detail; • Be familiar with legal software and willing to learn how to use new software. This is a full-time remote position. The position requires traveling for court appearances. We are looking to fill this position immediately. Initial interviews are being conducted via videocall.
