Full Description

The Company Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And we're just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. To continue what we've started: Improving human health. We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. We've already changed millions of lives and we're ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. We'll get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though we've come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us. Meet the team: The Data Science and Biostatistics team is at the heart of turning complex clinical data into insights that help bring life-changing technology to patients. As a Sr Staff Data Scientist, you'll collaborate with an exceptional, multidisciplinary group of Biostatisticians, Data Scientists, Statistical Programmers, Clinical Data Managers, and Medical Writers to solve meaningful, real-world problems. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment built for curious, driven individuals who want their work to directly influence innovative medical technology—and ultimately improve lives. Where you come in: You contribute to the development and continuous improvement of data infrastructure for clinical studies and real-world data sources (e.g., EHR), and you lead the research, prototyping, and development of machine learning and AI models aligned to business needs. You lead statistical analysis planning and execution for clinical studies, including study and endpoint design, sample size and power calculations, and the creation and review of statistical analysis plans. You oversee the production and review of tables, figures, and listings, interpret results, and proactively address limitations in study design or statistical methods. You review and provide input on clinical protocols and CRFs, ensuring overall data integrity and high-quality statistical analyses that support abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts. You leverage scientific literature as a research methodology to inform data science approaches, statistical method development, and analyses for clinical studies and real-world evidence. You guide and support junior data scientists and biostatisticians through mentorship, collaborative problem-solving, and knowledge sharing. You provide statistical consultation and thought leadership to cross-functional partners in R&D, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, medical science, and with external collaborators. What makes you successful: You bring strong proficiency in statistical methods, applications, and programming, with experience applying complex statistical techniques to real-world problems. You think strategically and can evaluate and apply the most appropriate analytical or modeling approaches to solve ambiguous and challenging business questions. You are able to work independently and lead clinical data science or biostatistics project teams with minimal oversight, driving work forward from concept through delivery. You have extensive knowledge of advanced data science methods and experience exploring and applying AI/ML techniques to create meaningful business impact. You have a strong working knowledge and hands-on programming experience with SAS, R, and SQL; familiarity with additional languages such as Python is a strong plus. Your excellent communication and collaboration skills enable you to clearly explain complex analyses and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What you'll get: A front row seat to life changing CGM technology. Learn about our brave #dexcomwarriors community. A full and comprehensive benefits program. Growth opportunities on a global scale. Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement. An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve. Travel Required: 5-15% Experience and Education Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8 - 12 years related experience or Master's degree and 5 - 7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2 -4 years of experience. Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
