Meet the team: At Dexcom, our Product Security team is pivotal in protecting the integrity and security of our innovative continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices. Come join us in our mission to safeguard the technology that empowers better health outcomes as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer on the R&D Cybersecurity Operations team. You will monitor and analyze security events, identify and investigate threats and vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents. You should have a deep understanding of modern SIEM/SOAR technologies, threat hunting, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management in modern cloud native environments. You will also participate in an on-call rotation, act as an escalation point for the Tier 1 SOC, and assist in building out our SIEM and SOAR tools. Where you come in: You will manage and maintain the SIEM and SOAR toolset to include data ingestion, parsing, playbook automation and routine maintenance You will monitor and analyze security events using SIEM and SOAR technologies You will identify and investigate threats using threat hunting techniques You will triage and respond to security incidents and take appropriate action to mitigate risks You will analyze reported vulnerabilities, including those reported through Bug Bounty and external third parties You will develop and maintain threat detection rules, using automation where possible You will work with other members of the SOC team to ensure effective security operations You will stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and trends You will participate in on-call rotation You will act as an escalation point for the Tier 1 SOC You can adapt to shifting priorities and respond to incidents as they occur What makes you successful: You have a strong understanding of threat hunting techniques and incident response procedures You have experience developing and maintaining threat detection rules You have experience with coding and automation (Python, Java, C# or similar) You have experience automating SOAR playbooks You have experience with modern cloud native architectures and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), with a preference for GCP You have excellent communication and teamwork skills You can work independently and as part of a team You can work under pressure and meet deadlines and can adapt to shifting priorities Preferred Qualifications: CISSP, GCIH, or other relevant security certification Experience in a SOC environment Experience with forensics and containers for SOC response What you’ll get: A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
