We’re a busy and growing pediatric practice looking for a dependable, friendly, and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a dual-role position that includes both clinical (back office) and clerical (front desk) duties. Compensation & Benefits • Starting at $22/hour for candidates with 2+ years of experience administering immunizations to pediatric patients (newborn–18 years) • Candidates with less experience will be considered (pay based on qualifications) • Health, vision, and dental insurance • Paid time off • Supportive, team-based environment Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties • Take patient vitals (including manual blood pressure) • Administer immunizations (newborn to 18 years old) • Perform fingersticks and in-office lab tests (COVID, strep, flu, mono, lead, etc.) • Assist physicians with clinical tasks as needed • Keep accurate records and update log books Front Desk Duties • Greet patients and families in a welcoming and professional manner • Schedule appointments and manage calendars • Call patients to schedule appointments for needed services (well visits, follow-ups, vaccines, etc.) • Verify insurance and obtain referrals • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances • Complete paperwork and handle scanning, faxing, and filing • Process medication prior authorizations and medical record requests • Provide strong telephone support and follow-up with patients Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Medical Assistant certification preferred (willing to train the right person) • 1–2 years of medical office experience (pediatrics preferred) • Experience administering immunizations strongly preferred • Proficient in EMR systems (E-Thomas and Practice Fusion a plus) • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented • Must be able to commute to both Waterford & Lake Orion office locations Join a practice that makes a difference in kids’ lives every day.
