The Detroit Pistons are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director, Premium Sales & Service to lead all aspects of our premium sales and service operations. This strategic role is responsible for driving retention and new business initiatives while overseeing premium member engagement, events, communications, benefits, loyalty programs, and management of our most valued inventory. The Director will also set goals, metrics, and benchmarks for the sales teams through our CRM and sales enablement platforms, ensuring accountability and maximizing revenue growth. What You’ll Be Doing Lead day-to-day activities of Premium Seating Executives and Premium Experience Executives, assisting with premium account management. Develop and implement long-term initiatives to grow and strengthen the premium membership base. Set goals, benchmarks, and performance metrics to drive team accountability and measure success. Leverage sales enablement tools and technology to track progress and report insights to leadership. Create and deliver onboarding and training programs that share best practices, foster career development, and support a culture of learning. Collaborate with Business Development, Group Sales, and Ticket Sales teams to ensure smooth account transitions and assist with the sales process as needed. Partner with the Corporate Partnerships team to support revenue production, gifting, and event execution. Proactively grow premium activation and engagement, including initiatives tied to the Pistons Rewards program. Oversee all game-day premium activities and events, coordinating staff, materials, and logistics. Engage with members to educate on benefits and resolve service issues. Work with Marketing and Creative departments to plan events, menus, gifting, appearances, and promotional materials. Develop sales and retention communications, presentations, and annual recaps. Manage inventory for autographed items to support community engagement and member events. Assist with financial reporting, invoices, and departmental documentation as needed. Support hiring, training, and development of department staff while instilling the Detroit Pistons Premium Member experience. Collaborate with Legal to ensure contract language aligns with company ethics and policies. Perform other duties as needed to support the company’s mission, vision, and values Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of five (5) years in ticket sales or service with collegiate and/or professional sports teams. At least one (1) year in a leadership role within ticket sales or service for collegiate and/or professional sports teams. Proven leadership skills, including time, project, and campaign management, with the ability to motivate a team to exceed sales and retention goals. Strong ability to foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture emphasizing teamwork, career growth, and personal development. Proficiency with Salesforce and Archtics is a plus. Exceptional communication, networking, and writing skills. High degree of motivation, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to write creatively and present ideas clearly and persuasively. A collaborative mindset with a focus on contributing to broader organizational goals and vision.
