Job Details Job Location: Des Plaines, IL Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly Job Shift: Swing Description ABOUT US: The Des Plaines Park District, established in 1919, features more than 50 parks and facilities. JOB IDENTIFICATION Job Title: Golf Center Part-Time Custodian Grade: Grade II FLSA: Non-Exempt Department: Revenue Facilities SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Golf & Facilities Supervisor BASIC FUNCTION Perform general and routine custodial maintenance and minor building repairs at the Golf Center. In addition, help with other seasonal duties as assigned by supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Performs general building custodial duties • Clean hallways, restrooms, office areas, glass doors and windows. • Perform deep cleaning of hitting decks at Golf Center. • Inspects buildings for maintenance needs and safety hazards. • Assist with Golf Center operations. • Ability to work independently. • Pick up trash and debris outside building. • Must be able to work a consistent schedule. • Basic understanding of building systems. OTHER DUTIES • May be required to help with weekend building openings and closings. • Performs snow removal and spreading of deicer on outside walkways seasonally. • Attend related training to expand skills and knowledge • Assist patrons with providing information as requested. • Follow all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Park District Safety and Crisis Manuals. • Perform additional duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Less than High School Experience: No prior work experience required.
