Full Description

Responsible for the day-to-day support, ongoing upgrades & maintenance, documentation, data quality, and user training of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) platform across all DermCare locations. You need to be familiar with medical practice workflows as well as being well versed in clinical documentation. This role requires a combination of strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task and work under pressure. The System Administrator is a reliable problem-solver with strong project management and presentation skills. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: • Proactively take ownership in the support of enterprise-wide implementation, management and ongoing operations of the EMR systems, primarily Nextech, secondary ModMed • Collaborates with RCM, Operations, Data Warehouse, Project Management, EMR Vendor and the Executive group to roll out and support EMR implementations across the company. • Learn DermCare processes in an effort to get consistency in roll out of the new system across multiple offices and locations. • Define, prioritize, and resolve all support requests in an organized, efficient and expedited manner. Escalate tickets to the Nextech/Modmed Core Teams or vendor as needed. • Create and maintain configuration documentation, as well as system and operations documentation and workflows related to the EMR platform. • Stays current on new features, feature releases , and communicate updates to all end users. • Offer suggestions and solutions on operational improvements to maximize efficiency, revenue and patient satisfaction. • Participate in creating and implementing training programs for the EMR platform. • Trains end-users and other business teams to maximize adoption of the system. • Prepare, maintain and disseminate training materials and user guides. • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying data integrity and ensuring end users are following established processes and protocols. • Perform clinical documentation audits as needed. • Build strong relationships with peers to convey a sense of being a subject matter expert in EMR • Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree preferred. • 2+ years experience in software training, EMR platforms, implementation and/or relevant medical practice experience. Nextech experience required, ModMed background desirable. • Knowledge of medical office procedures and billing. • Solid understanding of practice workflows as it relates to system interaction. • Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of databases. • Excellent organizational and multitasking ability with strong attention to detail. • Time management skills with ability to set and meet deadlines. • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. • Professional, patient and balanced approach to handling difficult customer situations. • Takes initiative in goal fulfillment and deadlines. • Ability to travel 25-40% of the time. • Ability to provide some off-hours support, including weekend travel.
