Job Summary: The Senior Executive Director, Field Commercial is a senior, execution-focused enterprise leader responsible for the performance, discipline, and effectiveness of Dendreon’s U.S. field commercial organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), this role serves as the CCO’s primary execution partner for Provenge, translating commercial strategy into disciplined field execution that drives utilization, strengthens provider partnerships, and ensures compliant promotion. This role blends hands-on operational leadership with enterprise-level influence. The ideal leader brings deep oncology and field commercialization expertise, operational rigor, and a people-first leadership approach to unify teams, drive accountability, and elevate commercial performance in a complex, high-science environment. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Field Commercial Leadership & Execution Lead the national field commercial organization, including regional leadership and account teams, with clear expectations and accountability. Translate enterprise strategy into measurable execution priorities for the field. Own day-to-day commercial execution and performance delivery for Provenge across the U.S. Establish a disciplined operating rhythm grounded in data-driven decision-making, transparency, and accountability. Sales Leadership & Performance Discipline Drive consistent execution of call models, account planning, and engagement strategies aligned to Provenge’s autologous therapy model. Oversee territory design, targeting, deployment, and incentive execution in partnership with Sales Operations. Monitor performance rigorously; identify gaps and implement corrective actions. Participate in forecasting, performance reviews, and enterprise planning discussions. Marketing Execution & Brand Activation Partner closely with Marketing to deploy campaigns, field tools, speaker programs, and customer engagement initiatives. Ensure timely development and compliant use of promotional materials in collaboration with Medical Affairs and MLR. Drive consistent, high-quality brand execution aligned with clinical workflows and customer needs. Customer Engagement & Market Development Strengthen relationships with key providers, practice leadership, and clinical staff. Support resolution of complex account or customer issues requiring senior commercial involvement. Maintain strong clinical and reimbursement acumen to support effective customer engagement. Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as a strategic partner to Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Manufacturing, and Operations. Strengthen alignment between field execution, site onboarding, reimbursement, and patient flow. Ensure predictable, compliant delivery of Provenge in partnership with manufacturing and patient operations. Talent Development & Culture Build, coach, and retain high-performing field leaders and teams. Establish clear performance standards, development plans, and succession pipelines. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, integrity, and patient-centered purpose. Governance, Risk & Compliance Model ethical leadership and ensure all commercial activities meet legal, regulatory, and company standards. Proactively identify execution and compliance risks; escalate appropriately to the CCO. Partner with Legal and Compliance to balance innovation with risk management. Qualifications Qualifications: Required Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. 12–15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in biotech, oncology, or cell therapy. Proven success leading large, distributed field teams in complex, high-science environments. Demonstrated ability to elevate performance, strengthen culture, and drive operational discipline. Strong executive presence, communication skills, and cross-functional influence. Ability to travel up to 50% of working hours Preferred Provenge or autologous/cellular therapy experience. Deep experience in urology, oncology, buy-and-bill, or specialty practices. Launch, turnaround, or growth-stage biotech experience.
