The company’s capabilities include high-speed CNC Lathes, Mills, Gear Grinders, and finishing, among others. The company specializes in small, medium, and large-scale aircraft assemblies of varying complexity for the commercial aerospace and defense industry.   Why join us?   The Program Manager/Senior Manager has a key role in delivering complex aerospace components and assemblies that help put people safely in the air. This position offers the opportunity to lead customer programs from contract award through delivery, working closely with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Leadership to ensure exceptional quality, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve customer requirements while meeting company objectives for cost, quality, and profitability.   PROGRAM MANAGERS provide day-to-day leadership and function as the liaison between the customer and the Company to ensure that the parts produced meet the customer’s delivery and quality goals as well as the Company’s cost and profitability goals. They serve in a matrix organization to ensure company commitments are met, drive customer satisfaction through constant interaction with the customer and the entire organization in a positive manner, develop and maintain management tools/metrics to monitor and report progress from contract award to contract closeout.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Interface with Sales and Business Development to manage new projects from the bid-review cycle through contract award. * Conduct customer PO review and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) processes. * Lead regular program review meetings with Operations to address program progress in achieving customer requirements in the areas of cost, quality, and delivery. * Ensure raw materials, tools, gauges, and fixtures arrive on schedule to support production milestones. * Interface with Operations to ensure quality parts that meet or beat cost and profitability targets are delivered to the customer on-time. * Communicate target pricing and monitor incoming purchase orders to verify they align with expected pricing.  * Collaborate with Outside Services and internal purchasing teams to ensure that price and turn times meet or beat established targets. * Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure programs are developed to maximize productivity and efficiency. * Support customer relationships through understanding the customer’s business philosophy, product designs, manufacturing process and systems, cost, quality, and delivery requirements. * Review customer change orders and obtain written agreement from the customer and CFO for all pricing changes. * Maintain 98% On Time Delivery as well as a 99.7% quality rating through collaboration with all departments within Delta. * Partner with Operations to constructively and effectively resolve problems and ensure senior management and other organizational stakeholders are informed. * Prepare and submit weekly status reports to the senior leadership team. * Assist Operations to reduce Work-in-Process (WIP) for the program. * Coordinate with customers to develop short-term (30/60/90-day) and long-term (12-24 month) forecasts for Programs.  * Input and maintain customer forecasts, purchase orders, and engineering changes within company ERP systems. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing technology or related technical course of study.  May consider ten (10) years directly relevant experience in engineering in the Aerospace industry in lieu of Degree. * At least five (5) years manufacturing experience, in the Aerospace industry and with gear or metal components processes, strongly preferred. * Demonstrated ability to lead and influence within a matrix organization and within customer organizations. * Advanced skills in Excel, including Pivot Tables. * Must have strong skills with Microsoft Project, Gantt charts and Action Registers.   * Prior hands-on experience with supplier portals and customer systems. * Must be comfortable operating in fast-paced work environment and with shifting priorities. * U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement). * Must read, write, and speak English fluently WORK ENVIRONMENT: * Frequent walking, standing, stooping and bending on the manufacturing floor. * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.     OTHER * Sponsorship, now or in the future, is not available for this position. * Relocation is not available for this position. * Remote work or Hybrid work schedule is not available for this position.
