Role Overview The Senior Manager, Fabric & Trim Development & Innovation will lead the creation, sourcing, and innovation of fabrics across categories, driving materials from concept through final bulk production. This role requires a strong foundation in textile science and material construction, with the ability to innovate new fabrics, stay ahead of market and technology trends, and ensure development is organized and aligned with business needs. Responsibilities Manage fabric development from concept through final proto, including all comments, lab dips, and strike-offs. Create, innovate, and develop fabrics from scratch — leveraging expertise in fiber, yarn, weaving, and knitting. Organize fabric development by class and category, ensuring libraries are up to date and accessible for design and production. Partner with Design to identify seasonal fabric needs, propose innovative solutions, and align on cost and brand standards. Research and present fabric market trends, new machinery, and innovations in fiber and construction. Maintain strong vendor and mill relationships to ensure best practices in quality, cost, and lead times. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development and Production to ensure fabrics meet design intent and delivery timelines. Prepare and deliver presentations highlighting fabric innovations, industry trends, and cost opportunities. Prepare and maintain fabric detail sheets, ensuring all information is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the business model. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field required Minimum 10 years of fabric development, raw materials, or textile innovation experience Expert knowledge of fiber studies, yarn size, fabric construction, and weaving programs Strong technical knowledge of wovens; additional experience with knits preferred Proven experience traveling to overseas factories and mills, with deep knowledge of textile production processes Creative, innovative thinker with proven ability to develop fabrics from scratch Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple categories and calendars Strong communication and presentation skills Passion for fabric science and innovation This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NYC office PAY RATE: $120,000/yr-$137,750/yr At Delta Galil, we strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
