Role Overview The Senior Buying Manager leads the development and execution of strategic buying and assortment plans that align with customer demand, market trends, brand vision, and financial objectives. Responsibilities • Drives sales and gross margin performance through disciplined inventory management, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration. • Establishes clear standards, processes, and timelines to ensure operational excellence across all buying activities. • Partners closely with Visual, Design, Planning, Merchandising, and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, brand-right assortments and maximize business results. • Manages the development and execution of seasonal financial and OTB plans, including sales, inventory, margin, and turn, ensuring alignment with company objectives. • Defines and executes assortment strategies that reflect brand positioning and consumer demand, optimizing product mix across channels and regions. • Oversees buys and purchase order strategies to ensure alignment with fiscal targets, delivery timelines, and inventory goals. • Partners with Merchandising and Planning to balance inventory, manage flow, and maximize productivity across stores and eCommerce. • Monitors business performance through sales and inventory reporting, identifying risks and opportunities to implement pricing, consolidation, and allocation strategies that maximize sales and margin. • Directs promotional product selection and event strategies in partnership with Marketing and Store Operations. • Leverages hindsight reviews, market visits, and store insights to refine product strategies, optimize assortments, and drive continuous improvement. • Leads, mentors, and develops the buying team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance. • Champions best practices in buying, assortment planning, and business analysis while serving as a key liaison across departments to ensure alignment on business priorities and timely execution. • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field • Minimum 8 years’ experience of progressive buying or merchandising; multi-category and multi-channel experience strongly preferred • Experience in women’s RTW and full-price business models a must • Advanced Microsoft Suite especially Excel • Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and ability to make data-driven decisions • Leadership positions in buying, store or space planning, optimization and strategy • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple competing deadlines • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships across a global organization This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NYC office PAY RATE: $124,000/yr-$137,000/yr At Delta Galil, we strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
