Requirements

Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in customs and transportation, with knowledge of US customs regulations and brokerage procedures. A Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation is considered an asset.

Full Description

Mandate: Reporting to the Brokerage Manager, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality and productivity of the Brokerage department while working in collaboration with our customs and freight departments Managers. Major duties include: Oversees the performance of the Customs Associates on a daily basis by maintaining a high standard of accuracy, productivity and overall moral. Evaluates the team of Raters on performance and productivity. Assists Customs Managers on special projects as needed. Optimizes productivity of the team in collaboration with the Customs Managers. Analysis on improving the operation in collaboration with the Customs Managers. Assists the Customs Managers to identify and resolve any issues associated with daily operations including client disputes. Supports and assists Customs Associates in daily operations. Performs various other duties as assigned. Requirements: 5 years of experience in customs and transportation Experience in dealing with local and national brokerage procedures and knowledge of US customs regulations Working knowledge of customs import regulations, freight forwarding and processes as well as H.S. tariff classification Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) is an asset What You Offer: Ability to work efficiently in a team environment, as well as independently Excellent problem solving skills Extremely detail oriented and organized What We Offer: Equal opportunity employer Competitive compensation Comprehensive health and dental care
