Del Gavio Group, located in Woodside California is looking for an in Studio Interior Design Lead, Senior Designer to work on commercial and residential projects. Our diverse corporate and residential clients need your design brilliance, to work on medium sized to multi-million-dollar projects. Our projects are located in the Silicon Valley, Peninsula, San Francisco, Denver, CO, North Carolina and new exciting opportunities in Europe. Some of our current projects include 3-8,000 ft homes and office spaces. We design, furnish and offer finish selection from the ground up. Craftsman, Mid -Century to Spanish & European Estate styles, including intricate finishes, cabinetry design, Our target new hire would have experience & exhibit strong capabilities, talent & the confidence of an owner. You must have excellent communication and people skills and provide superior attention to detail. Working effectively with a team of designers & support team is a must! In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with clients, architects, and contractors to develop innovative interior concepts, manage project workflows, and ensure every detail aligns with client visions and industry standards. Your expertise in design software and construction processes will drive projects from initial concept through completion, delivering exceptional results that elevate interior spaces to new heights of style and usability. • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints, translating these insights into compelling interior design concepts. • Develop detailed design plans using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite to visualize ideas clearly and accurately. • Prepare comprehensive presentations that showcase color schemes, lighting plans, furniture layouts, and material selections to facilitate client approvals. • Create precise drafting and construction documents that guide renovation, remodeling, and construction efforts while ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards. • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to select appropriate materials, lighting fixtures (including lighting sales), and furnishings that meet design specifications. • Manage project timelines and budgets effectively through project management skills to ensure timely delivery without compromising quality. • Oversee the installation process on-site, conducting inspections to verify adherence to design plans and resolve any issues promptly. • Engage in lighting design projects by integrating innovative lighting solutions that enhance ambiance and functionality within interior spaces. • Draft contracts and scope of work documents for clients and vendors to establish clear expectations and responsibilities. • Stay informed about industry trends in interior design, renovation techniques, remodeling strategies, and new product offerings to continually elevate project quality. • Proven experience in interior design or related fields with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects including renovation and remodeling. • Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D (3ds Max), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Illustrator), Drafting techniques, CAD software skills. • Solid understanding of color theory principles and their application in creating harmonious interiors. • Knowledge of construction processes, contracts management, budgeting practices, lighting sales strategies, and lighting design principles. • Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively. • Strong communication skills for presenting ideas clearly to clients and collaborating seamlessly with team members. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately while maintaining attention to detail. • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to interior renovation projects.
