Deeter Analytics is seeking a strategic-minded Head of Research to lead our multi-strategy trading desk. This pivotal role reports directly to our founding principal and involves transforming high-level market insights, directional ideas, and intuitive perspectives into actionable research strategies. You will lead a high-performing research operation where your expertise directly influences strategic investment decisions. Key Responsibilities ● Strategic Collaboration: Work directly with the Principal to interpret market insights and intuitive signals into a structured research vision. ● Project Translation: Translate high-level directional ideas into clearly defined, actionable research projects for the team. ● Team Leadership: Effectively delegate research tasks, providing continuous mentorship and training to support staff to maximize their professional growth and contribution. ● Analysis & Synthesis: Critically evaluate and contextualize findings from various domains—including legal, regulatory, and financial—to ensure strategic applicability. ● Advanced Market Monitoring: Oversee the tracking of public equity markets, including individual stocks, specific sectors, and broader indexes. ● Process Optimization: Continuously refine research processes to ensure efficiency and responsiveness to dynamic market conditions. ● High-Level Reporting: Deliver concise, insightful reports directly to the founding trader regarding stock performance, noteworthy institutional movements, and aberrational trading. Hiring Criteria ● Experience: Significant experience (7+ years preferred) in securities and financial markets research, with a proven background in managing high-performance teams. ● Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of multi-strategy trading approaches, including fundamental, technical, and quantitative methodologies. ● Regulatory Literacy: A strong understanding of finance and securities law; experience with SEC filings and regulatory research is highly valued. ● Communication: Exceptional ability to concisely summarize complex legal and financial concerns and communicate them effectively to senior stakeholders. ● Analytical Rigor: Intellectual curiosity combined with disciplined analytical rigor to interpret nuanced market data. ● Adaptability: Proven capability to quickly assimilate high-level ideas and "change your mind when facts change".
