5+ years backend/full-stack experience with Node.js and TypeScript, strong SQL skills, API development expertise, excellent communication, and client-facing solution delivery experience.
Description: • Engage directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives • Design and implement tailored technical solutions using Deel's and partner Accounting/HCM APIs, webhooks, and backend infrastructure • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Backend/Frontend Engineers to deliver customer-specific and scalable product improvements • Contribute real-world customer use cases to product planning and roadmap • Build and enhance product features, debug issues, and improve reliability • Provide technical support during onboarding, implementation, and post-sale expansion • Act as a trusted technical advisor and represent Deel to clients Requirements: • Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders and external clients • Experience delivering client-facing solutions (implementation, consulting, or embedded technical roles) • 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer (ideally in SaaS or B2B platforms) • Fluency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript • Strong SQL skills, particularly with PostgreSQL (query optimization, migrations, modeling) • Hands-on API development experience, validation, and performance tuning • Ability to engage directly with customers and translate technical/business needs • Thrive in ambiguous environments and take ownership from idea to delivery • Bonus: experience in fintech, HR tech, or deploying solutions in customer environments (custom scripts, middlewares, internal APIs) • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently Benefits: • Stock grant opportunities dependent on your role, employment status and location • Additional perks and benefits based on your employment status and country • The flexibility of remote work, including optional WeWork access • Scalable benefits, rewards, and perks reflecting inclusivity and access • Healthcare and benefits provided to workers in multiple countries (as stated)
