Overview DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Strategic Integrated Communications Lead to develop, manage, and execute enterprise-wide communications strategies across a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role leads the full communications lifecycle, unifying messaging across directorates, aligning content with leadership priorities, and ensuring message consistency across digital and traditional channels. The Strategic Integrated Communications Lead drives messaging frameworks, oversees content governance, ensures alignment with policy changes, and coordinates closely with mission owners, senior leadership, and communications partners to support timely, accurate, and mission-focused communication. This position is fully remote. Note: By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.** Duties & Responsibilities The Strategic Integrated Communications Lead will: Lead the development of enterprise-wide integrated communications strategies. Develop and maintain unified messaging frameworks aligned with leadership priorities and mission needs. Synchronize communications across directorates to ensure coherence, accuracy, and timeliness. Oversee cross-functional collaboration for messaging related to policy changes, mission updates, and emerging priorities. Direct creation of communication materials including talking points, briefs, outreach content, and digital messaging. Coordinate content delivery across web, email, print, briefing decks, social media, and stakeholder channels. Manage editorial calendars, content governance, review cycles, and approval workflows. Advise leadership on communication risks, public messaging impacts, and stakeholder engagement needs. Analyze communication performance, audience feedback, and messaging effectiveness. Support strategic planning, crisis communications, and coordinated internal/external messaging. Maintain alignment with accessibility standards, federal communications guidance, and branding requirements. Provide mentorship and direction to communications staff and contributors. Qualifications Clearance Requirement Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. Education (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Strategic Communications, Public Policy, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline. Experience (Required) Minimum 12 years of experience in communications, public affairs, or strategic messaging. Experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies for federal, DoD, or enterprise environments. Experience coordinating messaging across multiple organizations or directorates. Demonstrated ability to develop unified messaging frameworks and standards. Experience producing mission-aligned communication materials across multiple media formats. Technical Knowledge (Required) Deep understanding of strategic communications, audience segmentation, and message design. Familiarity with digital communications platforms, content management workflows, and editorial governance. Knowledge of federal communications requirements, branding standards, and accessibility considerations. Technical Knowledge (Preferred) Experience with crisis communications, policy communications, or change management messaging. Familiarity with analytics tools for measuring communication performance. Certifications Preferred: Strategic communications or public affairs certifications Project management certifications (PMP, Agile) Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Strong executive-level briefing and messaging synthesis skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with senior stakeholders. Excellent organization, planning, and editorial management capabilities. High attention to detail and strong judgment in communications risk assessment.
