Overview DecisionPoint seeks Project Control Analysts to support budgeting, cost tracking, financial forecasting, and PMO reporting for a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. These roles track program burn rates, monitor spending against CLIN structures, analyze variances, and generate recurring financial metrics for leadership. The Project Control Analysts work closely with program managers, schedulers, finance personnel, and technical leads to ensure accurate, timely program financial governance aligned with federal acquisition and PMO standards. These positions are fully remote. Note: By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.** Duties & Responsibilities The Project Control Analyst will: Track program financials including burn rates, actuals, and cost-to-complete forecasting. Monitor and update CLIN-level financials, forecasts, and expenditure profiles. Develop recurring financial metrics, dashboards, and monthly PMO reporting packages. Support variance analysis and identify cost risks, overruns, or underruns. Coordinate with scheduling teams to align cost and schedule data for accurate forecasting. Maintain financial documentation, audit support records, and contract-required reporting. Assist with obligation tracking, invoicing validation, and subcontractor financial coordination. Support budget development, annual planning cycles, and financial scenario modeling. Participate in PMO reviews, governance sessions, and milestone readiness meetings. Ensure financial tracking aligns with federal, DoD, and acquisition compliance standards. Qualifications Clearance Requirement Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. Education (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience (Required) Minimum 5 years of experience in project control, financial analysis, or program financial management. Experience supporting financial tracking for federal, DoD, or government contracting programs. Experience preparing monthly financial metrics, burn-rate analysis, and forecast updates. Experience supporting PMO financial governance, audits, or contract reporting activities. Technical Knowledge (Required) Proficiency with Excel, financial modeling, and budget tracking tools. Understanding of CLIN structures, contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF), and cost tracking methodologies. Familiarity with PMO frameworks and cost-schedule integration best practices. Technical Knowledge (Preferred) Experience with cost accounting systems or ERP tools used in federal contracting. Knowledge of EVM principles or PMBOK financial management practices. Certifications Preferred: Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) PMP or Agile certifications Skills Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a mission-driven PMO environment. Strong teamwork and collaboration across finance and technical teams.
