Overview DecisionPoint seeks a Mid-Level Developer (CMS) to support the design, development, and sustainment of a secure enterprise Case Management System (CMS) serving Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders. The developer will contribute to building scalable, compliant, and mission-aligned features that enhance workflow automation, case tracking, and reporting across multiple cloud-hosted Impact Levels (IL2–IL5). The Developer will collaborate closely with business analysts, senior engineers, and system architects to implement user stories, optimize data handling, and deliver iterative improvements through Agile development cycles. Duties & Responsibilities The Developer, Mid (CMS) will: Develop and maintain CMS application components, ensuring seamless data flow and workflow automation across systems. Support the implementation of microservices and API integrations that connect user interfaces, reporting dashboards, and backend data services. Build secure, modular, and reusable software components within AWS GovCloud environments. Collaborate with architects, UI/UX designers, and testers to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and deliver production-quality code. Implement DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control through AWS CodeCommit or Git. Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to backlog refinement. Apply DoD cybersecurity and coding standards, ensuring compliance with RMF and DISA STIG requirements. Conduct code reviews, identify defects, and recommend performance enhancements. Assist with data validation, error handling, and case data synchronization across IL2–IL5 environments. Contribute to technical documentation, configuration management, and sprint reporting deliverables. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to support testing, defect resolution, and release readiness. Provide Tier 2/3 support for CMS issues during sustainment and iterative enhancement phases. Qualifications Clearance Requirement: Must hold an active Secret clearance. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in full-stack or enterprise software development. Experience supporting Agile development and CI/CD delivery for federal or defense systems. Demonstrated experience with case management or workflow-driven applications. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Java, C#, or Python, and frameworks such as Spring Boot, .NET Core, or Django. Working knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) for UI integration. Experience with RESTful APIs, data validation, and service-to-service communication. Familiarity with AWS GovCloud services (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS) and secure configuration management. Understanding of DISA STIGs, RMF compliance, and secure application deployment processes. Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Developer – Associate or equivalent. CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570 compliant). Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) or similar Agile certification. Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in a collaborative, Agile environment. Effective communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving priorities. Detail-oriented approach with focus on quality, security, and mission alignment.
