Overview DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support a Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise modernization effort in partnership with the United States Marine Corps Casualty and Mortuary Affairs (CMA) Office. The analyst will serve as a liaison between Marine Corps stakeholders and technical development teams to gather, validate, and translate operational and policy requirements into mission-ready business and data solutions. This position plays a critical role in aligning business processes, system enhancements, and information management practices with Marine Corps casualty reporting, mortuary affairs, and benefits operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and continuity across the enterprise. Duties & Responsibilities The Business Intelligence Analyst, Sr. (Marine Corps) will: Serve as the primary liaison between the Marine Corps Casualty and Mortuary Affairs (CMA) Office and the enterprise modernization team, ensuring all business and functional requirements reflect Marine Corps policies, workflows, and terminology. Lead requirements-gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and validation workshops to capture operational needs across casualty reporting, mortuary affairs, and benefits and entitlements. Analyze current-state (As-Is) workflows and develop future-state (To-Be) models that enhance mission performance, accuracy, and interagency coordination. Develop and maintain traceability documentation, ensuring Marine Corps requirements are fully represented in system enhancements, user stories, and design documentation. Collaborate with data architects and developers to design data interfaces and integration points between Marine Corps personnel systems and enterprise case management platforms. Validate Marine Corps processes for compliance with DoDD 1300.22, DoDI 1300.18, and other relevant DoD casualty and mortuary affairs standards. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and stakeholder validation sessions to confirm system functionality and data accuracy. Provide input for mission performance analytics, developing dashboards and reports to track case volume, timeliness, and data integrity for Marine Corps leadership. Support continuous improvement by incorporating user feedback and operational lessons learned during testing, deployment, and sustainment. Stay informed of policy, procedural, and system changes that impact Marine Corps casualty and mortuary operations to ensure alignment across modernization efforts. Qualifications Clearance Requirement: Must hold an active Secret clearance. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in requirements management, stakeholder engagement, or business analysis for federal or defense programs, including at least 3 years supporting DoD or service-specific operations (Marine Corps experience preferred). Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in business process modeling, requirements elicitation, and functional design documentation. Experience working within Agile or iterative development environments. Proficiency with business intelligence (BI) and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for mission reporting and analytics. Familiarity with DoD casualty operations, mortuary affairs, and personnel system integration. Knowledge of secure cloud environments and data interoperability principles is desirable. Certifications (Preferred): Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA). ITIL Foundation or Lean Six Sigma certification. Agile or Scrum Master certification. Skills: Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills across technical and operational audiences. Ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups and service components. Analytical thinker with attention to compliance, data quality, and mission outcomes.
