Overview DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support an enterprise-level defense modernization initiative in partnership with the U.S. Army Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operations Division (CMAOD). The analyst will serve as a primary liaison between Army stakeholders and the technical development team, gathering, validating, and translating operational and policy requirements into actionable system and reporting capabilities. This position plays a critical role in aligning business processes, data analytics, and digital workflows that strengthen Army casualty reporting, notification, mortuary affairs, and benefits management operations across the Department of Defense. Duties & Responsibilities The Business Intelligence Analyst, Sr. (Army) will: Serve as the primary liaison with the Army Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operations Division (CMAOD), ensuring business rules and requirements are accurately represented in system designs and process documentation. Lead requirements-gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and validation sessions to define functional needs supporting Army casualty, mortuary, and benefits operations. Analyze current (As-Is) processes and develop future-state (To-Be) workflows that improve accuracy, timeliness, and mission readiness. Collaborate with developers, data architects, and end users to ensure technical solutions align with Army operational goals and policy standards. Create and maintain requirements traceability documentation to ensure Army-specific needs are addressed throughout the lifecycle of design, implementation, and sustainment. Facilitate stakeholder validation and user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm that system functionality meets mission and compliance objectives. Develop business intelligence dashboards and analytics that measure mission performance, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency for Army leadership. Coordinate cross-service collaboration, ensuring consistent business processes and data interoperability with other Service components. Support configuration management, quality control, and requirements traceability throughout all project phases. Stay informed of policy and operational updates impacting casualty reporting, mortuary affairs, and benefits delivery, ensuring requirements remain aligned with evolving mission directives. Qualifications Clearance Requirement: Must hold an active Secret clearance. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in business analysis, requirements management, or stakeholder engagement supporting federal or defense programs. Prior experience supporting Army Human Resources Command (HRC) or Casualty and Mortuary Affairs operations preferred. Technical Knowledge: Expertise in requirements documentation, process modeling, and stakeholder analysis using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Jira, or Confluence. Familiarity with Agile development environments and iterative requirements refinement. Understanding of Army personnel systems, casualty and mortuary affairs workflows, and DoD reporting standards. Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI tools to support data visualization and performance analytics. Certifications (Preferred): Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA). ITIL Foundation or Lean Six Sigma certification. Agile or Scrum Master certification. Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder facilitation skills. Strong analytical and documentation abilities. Proven success translating mission needs into structured technical requirements. Ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
