With the Montessori philosophy at our core, we grow young learners to be respectful world citizens. Duties Plymouth-Canton Montessori School is seeking a part-time music teacher. The schedule includes: ○ One Upper Elementary (Grades 1–3) class (22 students) ○ One Lower Elementary (Grades 4–6) class (9 students) The Upper L class is currently learning ukulele, and the expectation is to continue this instruction. Employment Details ● Direct Hire – The selected candidate will be hired directly by Plymouth-Canton Montessori School, not through an educational employment agency. ● Competitive Pay – The salary will be competitive with other schools’ rates for substitute and part-time teachers. Supportive School Environment ● Strong Administrative Support for Music & the Arts – The Head of School, Julie Bawulski, is a former visual arts teacher and understands the value of music education. ● Positive Student Population – The school has no special education program, and the student body is well-behaved, making for a manageable classroom environment. Additional Compensation & Growth Opportunities While this is a part-time, there are several ways to increase earnings: ● Paid extracurricular performances ● The administration is open to expanding hours by incorporating substitute teaching or other responsibilities.
