Marcy Precious Little 1s – Jamaica, Queens (11434) We set the trend in childcare excellence. Marcy Precious Little 1s is an award-winning childcare program serving families for 16 years. We provide high-quality, engaging early learning experiences and a warm, professional environment where both scholars and staff thrive. We are currently hiring a dedicated, reliable, bubbly Morning Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is a long-term position, not a seasonal role. Schedule 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Some mornings may require a 6:30 AM arrival depending on drop-off.) Who We Are We serve scholars ages 6 weeks and up through hands-on learning, sensory play, creative projects, story time, movement, and structured routines. Our program is known for excellence, creativity, and a strong team culture. Responsibilities The Morning Assistant Teacher helps open the program and set a positive tone for the day by: • Preparing and opening the classroom • Greeting scholars and parents professionally • Assisting with breakfast routines • Supporting diapering, feeding, and transitions • Setting up sensory, Circle Time, and learning activities • Maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom • Following structured routines and daily checklists • Sending photo updates using the Brightwheel app • Supporting a nurturing environment for infants and toddlers Qualifications • Experience working with young children (infants/toddlers preferred) • Extremely reliable and punctual for early shifts • Bubbly, warm, positive personality • Professional communication and appearance • Comfort with structure, routines, and teamwork • Tech-friendly (training provided) • Open to coaching and feedback • Must complete OCFS paperwork and required trainings • CDA or Early Childhood coursework is a plus Why Join Marcy Precious Little 1s • Award-winning program • Supportive, professional team environment • Five-Level Staff Growth Track with advancement • 401(k) matching for eligible full-time staff • Paid sick time • Ongoing training and development • Occasional complimentary staff meals • Uniforms provided (optional laundry service) • Themed learning experiences, graduations, events, and more Compensation Based on experience and qualifications.
