We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer near Sheffield, OH to help bring new ideas to life through concept development, 3D modeling, prototyping, and problem-solving. This is a rare opportunity for someone who’s passionate about making mechanical devices—gears, tolerances, metals, and plastics—and wants to be hands-on from idea to finished product. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineer/Designer position include: • 6+ years (or equivalent experience/co-ops) in mechanical design and product development, especially consumer products • Strong 3D CAD modeling skills using any major platform (SolidWorks, Inventor, Onshape, etc.) • Focus on gears, mechanical motion, tolerancing, and physical prototyping • Experience with plastics, metal forming, and material selection for product manufacturing • Comfortable working hands-on with 3D printing, machining, and rapid prototyping tools • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical engineers, industrial designers, manufacturers) • Prioritize function, form, and manufacturability in every design • No project management required—focus is 100% on creation and design innovation Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
