## Key Role Overview This role provides direct, hands-on support to patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic under RN supervision. The Patient Care Technician helps set up and maintain dialysis equipment, monitors patients before, during, and after treatment, records vital signs and patient data, and educates patients on treatment and kidney health. The position requires physical stamina, comfort with medical procedures, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team. ## Key Responsibilities - Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care to patients undergoing treatment. - Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, including recording vital signs and patient data. - Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot dialysis equipment and supplies. - Educate patients on their dialysis treatment and kidney health. - Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members to support patient care. - Float between local clinics as needed and work flexible schedules to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. ## Required Qualifications - High school diploma or GED. - Comfortable working around blood, needles, and medical equipment. - Physically able to work long shifts on your feet. - Willingness to float between local clinics if needed and to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. ## Preferred Qualifications - Certification or experience such as CNA, MA, CHT, or phlebotomy certification. - Prior healthcare or dialysis experience. ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: Not specified in the posting; compensation depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. - Paid training with ongoing education and clear career paths. - Full benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) match; paid time off. - Family support resources such as backup child/elder care, access to mental health resources, employee assistance program, and parental leave. - Career development programs including clinical ladders and a program to support progression to RN roles. ## Additional Information - Work location: 11515 Market Street Rd, Houston, Texas 77029 (02047 - Jacinto Dialysis); may require floating to other local clinics. - The employer is an equal opportunity workplace and complies with federal and state affirmative action requirements. - The position is subject to pre-employment substance abuse testing and background verification checks. - Applicants with criminal histories will be considered consistent with applicable state and local laws. - Colorado residents: do not provide age-identifying information (such as date of birth or dates of school attendance/graduation) in the initial application; redaction will not be penalized. - This posting will be open for a minimum of three days.
