Job Description: • Manage and execute day-to-day back office operations activities • Analyze retail operations data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. • Develop and implement strategies to optimize retail processes, enhance efficiency, and drive cost savings. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve operational performance. • Support special projects and initiatives to drive business growth and operational excellence. • Assist with regulatory reporting and research in all markets staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies. • Act as the main point of contact for utility companies and manage the submission and tracking of service tickets and inquiries. • Communicate directly with customers via email and phone as needed. • Collaborate with and respond to ad hoc requests within the organization. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, or four (4) years directly relevant experience in lieu of degree. • 2+ years of experience supporting commercial customer products and accounts (B2B) in retail operations or market operations within NYISO, PJM, and/or NEISO; ERCOT experience is a plus. • Deep understanding of retail electricity operations in regulated markets, including billing, settlements, enrollment, usage data, EDI transactions, and market-facing workflows. • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar tools. Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data integrity, accuracy, and quality in analysis, reporting, and audit processes. • Ability to think both analytically and strategically, connecting day-to-day operational work to broader business and customer outcomes. • Comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving environments, with a collaborative approach to taking ownership and figuring out what’s needed to move the business forward. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision making.
