About the Role Were looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a hybrid QA and DevOps-focused role, combining manual and automated testing with hands-on DevOps responsibilities. This position requires a strong technical profile capable of owning the quality process end-to-end, while also supporting test automation infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, environments, and monitoring. Youll work with a high level of autonomy, ensuring quality gates are met across the full delivery pipeline. What Youll Be Doing QA & Test Automation • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites using Playwright with TypeScript • Migrate existing automated tests from Cypress to Playwright • Define, create, and manage test plans and test cycles using Zephyr Scale or similar tools • Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases, ensuring coverage across functional, regression, and exploratory testing • Identify, document, and track defects with clear, reproducible steps • Implement and execute performance and load testing using K6, including scripting, execution, and result analysis • Generate QA reports and quality metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement • Enforce quality gates prior to releases, preventing defects from reaching production or client reviews DevOps & Delivery Support • Perform hands-on DevOps tasks to support QA and delivery workflows • Manage and fix dependencies required for automation frameworks and test execution • Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate, maintain, and stabilize automated tests • Understand and operate across system architectures and environments (test, staging, production) • Monitor applications and environments using tools such as Grafana, identifying quality or stability risks • Support environment connectivity (e.g., VDI, test environments) required for QA and automation activities • Troubleshoot pipeline, environment, or infrastructure issues that impact test execution What You Bring Must-Haves • Senior-level experience in QA Automation and Manual Testing • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation • Advanced knowledge of TypeScript • Experience working with test management tools (Zephyr Scale or similar) • Proven experience with performance and load testing (K6 or equivalent) • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and hands-on experience performing DevOps-related tasks • Experience working with monitoring tools such as Grafana • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ownership-driven mindset • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for quality and delivery outcomes Nice to Have • Experience applying AI tools to QA processes (test generation, analysis, productivity improvements) • Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and modern DevOps practices • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments What We Value in This Role • Strong ownership of quality, automation, and environments • Ability to operate across QA and DevOps domains without handoffs • Proactive mindset to detect issues early and continuously improve processes • Clear communication and accountability expected from a senior-level role What Darwoft Offers • Contractor agreement with payment in USD • 100% remote work • Argentinas public holidays • English classes • Referral program • Access to learning platforms Explore this and other openings at: www.darwoft.com/careers
