JOB SUMMARY The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and executing Darmann’s global sales and marketing strategies to drive growth across core and emerging markets. This executive will lead the sales and marketing teams, strengthen customer relationships, expand penetration into the semiconductor segment, and ensure that Darmann’s value proposition is clearly communicated to customers and partners worldwide. This role is a key member of the leadership team and reports directly to the CEO. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and execute global sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team with a focus on technical-solution selling. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in semiconductor, aerospace, medical, and automotive markets. • Drive business development in the semiconductor industry, identifying opportunities for growth and expanding Darmann’s footprint. • Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and operations to ensure alignment between customer needs, product development, and production capabilities. • Oversee global channel strategies, including distributors and manufacturers’ representatives. • Establish and monitor KPIs, sales forecasts, pricing strategies, and market analysis. • Lead branding, communications, tradeshow, and digital and print marketing efforts to elevate Darmann’s market presence. • Represent the company as a senior executive at key customer meetings, industry events, and conferences. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or related field required). Advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred. • 15+ years of experience in precision abrasives, machine tool industry, or engineered industrial products. • Strongly preferred: direct experience within the semiconductor industry selling equipment (wafer manufacturing, polishing, CMP, or related). • Proven success in global sales leadership roles with measurable revenue growth. • Experience managing and developing high-performing technical sales and marketing teams. • Demonstrated experience implementing and/or managing CRM platforms with a data-driven, metrics approach • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate customer needs into commercial strategies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels from shop floor to C-suite. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (30–40%).
