Full Description

Overview The Electrical Engineering Technician III supports field electrical maintenance activities and ensures safe electrical isolation procedures (Lock Out Tag Out - LOTO) for lighting, air conditioning, and motor systems. This role typically reports to a supervisor or manager and serves as a technical leader, guiding junior staff and handling complex electrical challenges in industrial and commercial environments. Responsibilities • Support field electrical maintenance work across lighting, HVAC, and motor systems. • Perform electrical isolation procedures (LOTO) to ensure safety during maintenance operations. • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to lower-level staff. • Guide junior staff in resolving complex electrical problems. • Assemble, test, and modify experimental and operational electrical machinery, control equipment, circuitry, and components per engineering specifications. • Diagnose malfunctions and perform preventive/corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability. • Record data, analyze performance, and recommend modifications or equipment replacement. Qualifications • Relevant experience in a closely related electrical maintenance role. • Certification in electrical disciplines or equivalent professional experience. • Strong communication skills to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps. • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams without direct authority. • Adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting. • Electrical HV Power Transmission and Distribution • Electrical Dispatch Operations • SCADA platforms (Ignition, Wonderware, GE HMI, etc.) • SeeQ Analytics Software functional knowledge • Aspentech - Monarch and ABB Xenon SCADA software experience • Instrumentation Controls & Electrical expertise • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test (hair follicle), AMVR, agility and fit for duty.
