We always seek new ways to "do" real estate, and one way is to build a team of energetic, savvy people. We seek an experienced, full-time Maintenance Technician to add to our team. As a Maintenance Technician the work day will consist of hands‐on, daily maintenance duties at the properties. Responsibilities include: • Maintenance and repairs of apartment units as well as common areas and exterior grounds. • Responding to assigned tenant maintenance requests in a timely manner. • Cleaning common areas and select apartments on unit turns. • Performing minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, lock changes, drywall installation/repair, interior/exterior painting, cleaning, etc. • Must be familiar with plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems. • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm). • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations. Requirements: • Able to work full-time, 5 days per week between Mondays and Saturdays. • Able to take after-hours calls. • Minimum of 3 years' experience. • Plumbing, boiler and electrical knowledge a plus. • Have use of a car. Job requires driving to the scatter site properties on a daily basis. Properties in north side of Chicago. • Must be comfortable using computers, smartphones and internet. • Self-starter who sticks with projects to ensure execution. • Enjoy keeping many balls in the air within a high-paced, high-demand environment. • Professional and calm when talking to team members and residents. • Very organized and a finisher.
