In this role, you'll apply your engineering expertise to develop new product features, enhance existing ones, and keep our technology operating at peak performance. You'll also act as a technical resource to our sales, production, quality, and procurement teams-because around here, engineering doesn't happen in a vacuum (even if we do sometimes test things in one). This position works onsite at our Plymouth, MN facility. Work authorization support is not available for this role now or in the future. What You'll Be Doing • Lead the design, development, modification, and adaptation of products that push performance and reliability forward. • Conduct analysis and testing to validate designs-yes, this is where you get to break things scientifically. • Solve functional, application, and production challenges with creativity and precision. • Elevate existing products with new features, cost-savings improvements, and updates driven by technology advances or component changes. • Leverage your engineering know-how to independently tackle complex tasks, organize your workload, and deliver high-quality results on time (cape optional). • Partner closely with sales, marketing, service, production, drafting, procurement, suppliers, and operations-because good engineering is a team sport. • Support internal and external customers with responsiveness, clarity, and a can-do mindset. • Build strong, collaborative relationships across teams and help facilitate productive cross-functional discussions. What We're Looking For • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution • 3-10 years of hands-on experience working with PCBs and PCBAs • Solid command of ECAD and mechanical CAD tools-experience with Altium Designer and NX earns bonus points • Strong grasp of advanced math concepts (algebra, calculus, probability, statistics... you know, all the fun stuff) • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, PCB layouts, and PCB drawings • Working knowledge of digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, signal generators, power supplies, RF tools, and current probes • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-because even the best ideas need the right voice behind them What You'll Get from Us At Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
