The Sr Director, Market Access - Americas is responsible for leading Americas regional Market Access responsible for: 1) driving engagement with payers to maximize and accelerate coverage reimbursement for our products, and: 2) and supporting our commercial organization and our customers in addressing questions and barriers related to payer coverage and reimbursement. This position reports to the VP, Worldwide Market Access Strategy and Americas Market Access and is part of the Value & Access team and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Build/lead team that maintains relationships with key payers, health systems, and other stakeholders to negotiate favorable coverage and reimbursement policies. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of national, regional and local coverage and reimbursement issues for Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial payers through acquisition and analysis of external data, internal meetings, payer research, customer meetings. Lead field reimbursement function that provides education to healthcare providers, lab professionals, office staff and financial decision makers on Cepheid diagnostics coverage, coding and reimbursement landscape. Respond to and coordinate with sales colleagues’ requests for virtual / on-site customer business reviews, coverage and reimbursement support. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) provide education/training to internal (CEPH) cross-functional colleagues on reimbursement issues and policies. Ensure cross-functional coordination to identify clinical and economic value story needs to optimize and accelerate coverage and reimbursement. Oversee team operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience or a master’s degree/Ph.D. with at least 12+ years of relevant experience in health policy, biological sciences, or a relevant field AND 4+ years managing people. 10+ years of experience in Market Access roles Demonstrated knowledge of all payer segments (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) Demonstrated experience in building and managing teams Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: This position requires up to 50% domestic travel within the region. The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $220,000-$260,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
