Full Description

Overview We are seeking an Environmental Services Technician, also referred to as a EVS Tech or Hospital Housekeeper. The EVS Tech ensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection. The EVS Tech will handle waste disposal, restock supplies, maintain floors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs. Shift’s Available: Evening Employment Type: Full-time Hours: 8-hour - 3:00pm to 11:30pm Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. .
