Sales Manager (Capital Equipment) - Remote with Travel - Machinery Manufacturing Our team is working with a leading global industrial engineering company looking to hire a Sales Manager for their Southeast, Midwest, & Pacific regions. The role will be primarily challenged with developing sales growth in the Americas. The role will involve supporting existing customers with new equipment applications and developing new opportunities. The Regional Sales Manager will be required to travel regularly within the region, as well as occasional international travel to support other business activities (training, exhibitions, customer visits etc). The client is looking for candidates coming out of a manufacturing environment selling to Food Manufacturers, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, & Personal Care Product Manufacturers. This is a full time remote with travel position, depending on region offering up to $150K on a base salary, bonus, & strong benefits. Responsibilities: • Working with customers to review and define equipment specifications • Responding directly to customer inquiries and qualifying new leads • Helping to nurture opportunities and lead consultative selling activities • Create and follow-up on proposals, negotiate and win orders • Solutions Development: Help understand customer pain points and build solutions based on technical requirements. Be the “go to” person for your customers’ technical questions. • Assist in custom quote configuration and quote sketch creation if needed (AutoCAD). Take the lead in the value-sell process by being a trusted technical advisor. • Existing Customer Support: Provide regular contact with existing customers. Help support service and after-sales activities as needed. • Marketing: Work collaboratively with the marketing team on the input and execution of marketing plans. This may include: developing content, providing feedback on campaigns, facilitating seminars & trade shows, etc. • Reporting & Information Systems: Ensure the group’s CRM database (Dynamics 365) is actively managed, especially in relation to customer visits, quoting, forecasting and similar information. Use database information to help analyse territory trends, sales effectiveness, 80/20 focus, and continuous improvement. • Other Tasks: Provide input to Strategic Planning as it relates to Sales and Business Development activities. Other duties as requested. Experience and Qualifications: • Minimum of two years of experience selling capital equipment • Experience in negotiation and sales with senior levels of leadership is required • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Flexibility and capability to travel worldwide • An aptitude for technical consultation and product configuration is a must • AutoCAD or similar drawing/sketch capability would be considered an asset • Post-secondary technical training would be an asset (degree or diploma in an engineering discipline preferred) • Spanish fluency is considered an asset If you are interested in this opportunity, please reach out to Vincenzo Kulturides directly at vkulturides@daleyaa.com
