Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Privacy Program Manager (Privacy SMP) to support a high-profile enterprise privacy and regulatory compliance initiative. This consultant will join an active program to help drive execution of key privacy initiatives, provide program oversight, and support organizational readiness for evolving privacy and cybersecurity regulations. This role requires a strong combination of privacy program management, regulatory compliance, stakeholder communication, and PMO governance. The consultant will work cross-functionally with privacy, cybersecurity, legal, compliance, and technology teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic privacy initiatives. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the project schedule for the organization's CCPA implementation program. Support enterprise-wide compliance activities related to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) through structured program management and governance. Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and status communications for leadership and PMO stakeholders. Coordinate program activities across multiple workstreams to ensure timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies remain on track. Support organizational readiness for: ADMT (Automated Decision-Making Technology) regulations, Cybersecurity audits, Privacy and cybersecurity risk assessment requirements. Perform current-state capability and readiness assessments. Identify program gaps and recommend enhancements to improve privacy governance and regulatory compliance. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance based on industry-leading privacy and cybersecurity practices. Collaborate effectively with business, legal, compliance, cybersecurity, and technology stakeholders. Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience leading or supporting enterprise privacy or regulatory compliance programs. Strong program or project management experience within Privacy, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, or Information Security. Experience coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication, executive reporting, and presentation skills. Experience conducting readiness assessments, gap analyses, and developing improvement recommendations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree when paired with education in Law, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Business. Professional privacy certifications are highly preferred: CIPP/US, CIPT, CIPM. Experience supporting privacy regulations such as: CCPA, Privacy risk assessments, Enterprise privacy governance programs. Knowledge of PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, and executive reporting. Nice to Have Experience supporting Automated Decision-Making Technology (ADMT) compliance initiatives. Familiarity with cybersecurity audit readiness programs. Experience within large enterprise environments. Financial Services industry experience is not required. Ideal Candidate The ideal consultant is an experienced Privacy Program Manager who combines strong project management discipline with privacy and regulatory expertise. They are comfortable leading complex compliance initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, and communicating effectively with executive stakeholders while helping organizations strengthen their privacy governance and regulatory readiness.
