Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant Director to lead and support our early childhood education programs. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations of the daycare center, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, and collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners. Your leadership will help foster a positive atmosphere where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. Responsibilities • Assist in managing daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to curriculum standards focused on childhood development and early childhood education principles. • Support classroom staff with behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to promote a positive learning environment. • Oversee safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans, to maintain a secure environment for children and staff. • Coordinate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and foster strong relationships. • Help implement inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs, ensuring accommodations are met effectively. • Supervise staff scheduling, training sessions, and professional development opportunities related to preschool experience, toddler care, infant care, and caregiving best practices. • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health standards related to childcare, babysitting, nannying, and daycare operations. Qualifications • Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or early childhood education environments. • Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices across various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with people with disabilities are highly desirable. • Demonstrated classroom experience with effective classroom management skills. • Ability to lead a team with excellent communication skills while maintaining a positive attitude. • Experience with behavior management techniques tailored for young children with diverse needs. • Prior experience in childcare supervision or as an assistant director is preferred but not mandatory.
