Title: Senior Azure Platform Engineer – Center of Excellence Location: Remote with preference for candidates based in Minneapolis, MN Job Type: Contract (6 months) Compensation: $60-$80 per hour (W2) Industry: Food & Beverage Manufacturing About The Role Our client, a global leader in the food, agriculture, and supply chain industry, is seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to join its Azure Center of Excellence supporting the ERP domain. This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-scale Azure platform capabilities that enable critical business applications and services. The ideal candidate is a senior-level Azure engineering professional with deep expertise across multiple Azure technologies and a proven ability to deliver solutions independently. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams including ERP, application development, security, and infrastructure stakeholders to create secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platforms that support ongoing business transformation initiatives. Job Description As a Senior Azure Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing and supporting enterprise Azure environments while helping establish and enhance cloud platform standards and capabilities. Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Azure platform solutions. • Build and support Azure networking, integrations, gateways, security services, and container-based environments. • Develop, configure, and manage Azure API Management capabilities. • Create and support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and source code repository integrations. • Implement and optimize Azure Monitor solutions to improve platform observability, performance, and reliability. • Support Azure AI Foundry and Azure data platform capabilities. • Enhance existing Azure environments by identifying and implementing platform improvements. • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Azure solutions. • Collaborate with ERP, application, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver cloud-based capabilities. • Support enterprise Azure services, AI solutions, and custom-developed applications. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure platform issues across multiple services and environments. • Contribute to the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of new Azure products and environments. Qualifications Required Qualifications • Extensive hands-on experience as a Microsoft Azure Platform Engineer in enterprise environments. • Proven experience designing, deploying, and supporting large-scale Azure infrastructure and platform services. • Strong expertise in: • Azure Networking • Azure Integration Services • Azure Gateways • Azure Security Services • Azure Container Technologies • Experience implementing and supporting Azure API Management. • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and utilizing DevOps best practices. • Experience working with source code repositories and automation frameworks. • Hands-on experience configuring and managing Azure Monitor. • Ability to independently design, build, and support Azure platform capabilities with minimal supervision. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to quickly contribute within complex enterprise Azure environments. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with Azure AI Foundry. • Experience supporting Azure Data Fabric or enterprise data platform solutions. • Experience supporting Azure environments within ERP-focused organizations. • Experience developing or supporting AI-enabled solutions and custom Azure applications. • Experience working within a Cloud or Azure Center of Excellence (CoE) model. • Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
