SECOND SHIFT 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM PRESS BRAKE SET UP/OPERATOR The CNC Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Amada and Trumpf CNC press brakes in a sheet metal fabrication environment. This role requires strong knowledge of blueprint interpretation, tooling selection, equipment programming, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The operator will collaborate with supervisors and production staff to ensure efficient workflow and optimal machine utilization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Set up CNC press brakes for production operators. • Create programs at the machine controller to form metal parts. • Read and interpret blueprints to select appropriate punches and dies. • Ensure all safety guidelines, procedures, and criteria are strictly followed. • Use measuring tools such as calipers and height gauges to inspect parts for accuracy. • Work with supervisors to support job scheduling and production planning. • Troubleshoot issues that arise during production runs. • Coordinate with operators to maximize machine run time and productivity. • Operate equipment to produce production quantities of sheet metal components. Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of experience setting up CNC press brakes. • Experience working with materials such as steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. • Proficiency in selecting proper tooling for part formation. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. • Skilled in using measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
