Title: Junior Cloud Devops Engineer Remote open Position Description: Develops, maintains and optimizes the software development environment. Responsible for infrastructure, build, integration and software deployment process. Creates email accounts and provides system access. Should know scripting languages such as Ruby and Python. The Mission: To clear the path for the developers. The position ensures that "deployment" isn''t a bottleneck. The successful candidate will automate the boring stuff so the team can push code to the Maryland Cloud at any time. Key Responsibilities: • Zero-Touch Deployment: Build CI/CD pipelines that allow the team to push updates to internal MDH apps instantly. • Security at Speed: Use AI to automate security audits and HIPAA compliance checks within the pipeline so "security" never says "slow down." • Power Platform Governance: Set up the "Managed Environments" and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules that keep internal PowerApps safe. • Emergency Response: Proactively monitor internal systems and use AI-driven log analysis to fix issues before MDH staff even notice them. General Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant experience. Specialized Experience: The proposed candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience in the following: • Fast-Paced DevOps: Experience in high-deployment environments (multiple pushes per day). • IaC + AI: Mastery of Terraform/CloudFormation with a workflow that uses AI to generate and validate infrastructure code. Familiarity with Gov Cloud Education: This position requires a bachelor''s degree from an Clientredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
