Lead pre-planning and system integrator engagement for AMI 2.0 program, coordinate resource planning, solution design validation, and deployment rollout.
Proven large IT program management experience, familiarity with AMI or utility IT projects, strong leadership, communication, and technical understanding of infrastructure and system integration.
Job Description: Pay Range: $125.14hr - $130.14hr Requirement/Must Have: • Proven experience managing large IT programs, including resource planning, solution blueprinting, and end-to-end delivery. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills. • Familiarity with AMI, smart grid technologies, or large Electric Utility IT and infrastructure projects. • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership. • Strong blend of business insight and technical proficiency to bridge stakeholder needs with technology solutions. Experience: • Resource planning for multi-workstream IT initiatives (integration, data, infrastructure, testing). • Development of high-level solution blueprints integrating infrastructure, data flows, and system interfaces. • Planning and coordination of Planning & Analyze phases, including solution design validation, technical feasibility reviews, and Build phase preparation. • Vendor coordination and system integrator engagement within complex IT environments. Responsibilities: • Lead critical pre-planning and system integrator engagement activities for the AMI 2.0 Program. • Facilitate IT business process mapping and requirements gathering to ensure alignment with technical delivery. • Develop comprehensive resource plans, including roles, skillsets, effort, and cost estimates across workstreams. • Support development and refinement of solution blueprints, schedules, and budgets from a technical perspective. • Plan and coordinate solution design validation, environment readiness, development sequencing, testing strategy, and deployment rollout. Skills: • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Effective communication with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. • Technical understanding of IT infrastructure, system integration, and utility technology solutions. Qualification and Education: • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred. • Experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, or management consulting is a plus. • This role is ideal for a seasoned IT project manager with experience in utility technologies, technical solution planning, and vendor coordination, capable of driving large-scale AMI initiatives from planning through deployment.
