Job Description Aerospace Design Engineer - Hot Section Engineering (SME), Combustor, Turbine, and exhaust hardware Location: East Hartford, CT Experience Level: 10-15 years Salary: 80k+ Company Overview: Cyient is a global engineering and technology solutions leader, partnering with organizations worldwide to Design, Build, and Maintain their most critical systems. As an Aerospace Design Engineer specializing in Hot Section Engineering, you'll play a crucial role in advancing the design and development of gas turbine engines for leading clients like Pratt & Whitney. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manipulate complex solid models for detailed engineering assemblies, ensuring precision and functionality. • Draft and review technical documentation outlining engineering requirements, adhering to both customer and industry standards. • Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to facilitate comprehensive data exchange and project alignment. • Accurately interpret technical data and make informed design decisions, ensuring alignment with project specifications and regulatory standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline. • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in gas turbine engines, with a strong focus on hot section engineering. • Proven expertise working with Pratt & Whitney Aerospace is required. • Ability to interpret part blueprints, and strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5M standards. • Advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. • Proficient in technical writing and documentation using MS Office tools. • In-depth knowledge of GTF Engine Combustor, Turbine, and Exhaust hardware. • Solid grasp of gas turbine engine operating theory and familiarity with standard operating procedures, root-cause analysis, and mistake-proofing. • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. • Meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to manage complex engineering projects. Preferred Qualifications: • Hands-on experience in product development for gas turbine components, specifically related to the hot section. • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in design and manufacturing processes. Additional Requirements: • Must be able to meet ITAR and EAR regulations (U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee status).
