Company Overview Cyclyx International, LLC ("Cyclyx") is a pioneer in the plastic value chain, leveraging our proprietary technology to convert post-use plastic waste into high-quality feedstock for recycling. We provide customized solutions for brands and companies aiming to achieve their recycled content goals, actively supporting the development of a circular economy. Our state-of-the-art Circularity Center, currently under construction in Houston, TX, will be the first large scale facility in the United States, designed to process a diverse range of post-consumer, commercial, and industrial plastic waste. This innovative center will have the capacity to produce 300 million pounds of custom-formulated feedstock per year and convert it into ISCC-PLUS-certified feedstock suitable for mechanical and advanced recycling applications. Role Overview The Cyclyx Technology Infrastructure Manager will lead and oversee the team responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's server and network infrastructure across both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) domains. This strategic leadership role requires deep technical expertise to guide infrastructure engineers, establish technical direction, and ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of critical systems. During the initial team build-out phase, this position demands a unique balance of strategic planning with hands-on technical execution to establish foundational systems and lead by example. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience managing infrastructure within manufacturing or heavy industry environments, particularly involving IT/OT convergence and enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Technical Execution Develop and own the infrastructure roadmap while actively participating in hands-on implementation Lead planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects aligned with organizational goals and future growth Establish and enforce technology standards through demonstrated technical excellence and direct contribution Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions and emerging trends that enhance infrastructure capabilities Drive automation initiatives and process improvements across IT operations through hands-on development Team Leadership & Development Manage, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering technical growth and career progression Provide technical guidance and lead by example in complex troubleshooting scenarios Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for all team members Allocate resources effectively and manage budgets and vendor relationships while maintaining technical engagement Establish team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and actively contribute to achieving operational targets Technical Architecture & IT/OT Convergence Implement and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity measures across both IT and OT environments, identifying and mitigating risks effectively Lead physical security system deployments (Ubiquiti, Hikvision, Axis) while establishing standards Manage and maintain 2-way radio communication systems to ensure reliable emergency and operational communications Coordinate onsite emergency response procedures and maintain readiness of critical communication infrastructure Design and implement multi-site network architectures using Cisco, Fortinet, and PicOS technologies, including site-to-site VPN connections Configure and maintain internet-facing firewall security, ensuring robust perimeter defense and threat protection Deploy and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, XCP-ng, Citrix) across all facilities Implement and manage monitoring platforms (Zabbix, InfluxDB, Grafana) to ensure comprehensive visibility across infrastructure Architect and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including strategic management of Windows Server and Active Directory/Entra Maintain high-level knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes) Manage incident response and provide technical leadership during critical outages Qualifications Experience/Knowledge Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering At least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role Proven ability to balance strategic management with hands-on technical contribution, particularly during team growth phases Strong background in industrial or manufacturing environments managing IT infrastructure supporting critical systems including ERP, SCADA, Business Intelligence, and warehousing Technical Proficiency High-level proficiency and strategic oversight across the following technology stack: Virtualization: VMware, KVM, XCP-ng, Citrix Networking & Security: Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 multi-site networks (Cisco, PicOS), site-to-site VPN implementation, internet-facing firewall security, and proven track record deploying cybersecurity solutions using the Fortinet ecosystem (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSRA) Monitoring & Observability: Experience implementing and managing infrastructure monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, InfluxDB, and Grafana Cloud: Azure infrastructure, Windows Server, and AD/Entra administration Physical Security: Experience managing CCTV and access control systems (Axis, Ubiquiti, HikVision) Emergency Communications: Extensive experience with 2-way radio systems and onsite emergency response coordination Operating Systems: Expertise in Linux environments (Ubuntu) and containerization strategies (Docker, Kubernetes) Additional Requirements Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships while staying technically engaged Strong project management skills to lead complex infrastructure initiatives Education/ Training Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent extensive industry experience with demonstrable leadership) Recognized IT certifications in networking, server technologies, cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure Administrator), or project management (e.g., PMP) are highly encouraged Position Mechanics Reports to: Senior Director, Technology Systems Type: Exempt; Full-time Work Hours: Flexible, but must be available, 8:00-5:00, Monday - Thursday on site with occasional evening and weekend work. Friday will be a work from home day. Location: The Woodlands, TX Work environment: Primarily an office environment but may also work in an industrial environment at times where the use of PPE is required. Travel: Minimal - Less than 10% as needed to meet with members and attend off-site meetings. Physical Demand is substantially that of an office environment. Occasional lifting and manual work.
