Tax Manager (Remote - Trust/Estate) Company Overview We are a well-established wealth management firm that has proudly been serving the greater Illinois area for over 30 years! Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team remotely, specializing in Trust and Estate taxation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and planning for high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and their families, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and optimizing tax strategies. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage tax compliance for trusts and estates, including preparation of Form 706 and other related tax filings. • Provide strategic tax planning and advice to high net worth individuals and families. • Review and analyze tax returns and financial information for completeness and accuracy. • Stay updated on tax law changes and their implications for trusts and estates. • Collaborate with clients to understand their financial situations and develop tailored tax strategies. • Manage and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and training as needed. • Prepare and review gift tax returns and other related filings, including Forms 1041, 1065, GST, and GRAT. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Licensed CPA with a strong understanding of tax regulations related to trusts and estates. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, specifically dealing with trust and estate taxation. • Proven experience working with high net worth individuals and families. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
