Senior Production Manager - DTC/Retail/Apparel Senior Production Manager Position Overview The Senior Production Manager will oversee the production process from start to finish, ensuring that goods are produced efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards. This role will involve managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and leading a team to optimize production strategies and enhance overall operational performance. Prior experience working in high-volume SKU/order volume(in millions annually, fast-paced DTC or Retail environments will be essential for success in this position. Import focus also critical! Key Responsibilities • Manage and oversee the entire production process to ensure timely and cost-effective production of apparel. • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste. • Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure smooth procurement of materials and timely delivery of finished goods. • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of product quality throughout the production process. • Establish and maintain strong vendor relations to ensure reliable sourcing and procurement of materials. • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity in production operations. • Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement strategies to achieve financial targets without compromising quality. • Lead and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. • Coordinate merchandising efforts to align production with market demand and consumer trends. • Oversee production sourcing and vendor management to ensure alignment with company goals and compliance with industry standards. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in production management within the apparel/fashion/DTC industry. • Strong knowledge of inventory management, supply chain management, and quality control processes. • Proven experience in apparel manufacturing and vendor relations; familiarity with production sourcing and planning is essential. • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and achieve cost reductions in production. • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and problem-solving. • Knowledge of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) strategies and merchandising practices is a plus. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
