The Role You'll be a hands on manager - 50% hands on, 50% leading a team of 6. You will architect and deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient data platforms and pipelines that power analytics and ML use cases across our products. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, and Engineering leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions, mentor engineers, and drive process improvements and standards for our modern data stack. Responsibilities • Technical leadership & mentorship: Guide code reviews, standards, and patterns; delegate effectively; foster a positive, collaborative team culture. • Data architecture & design: Design scalable, reliable, cost-efficient pipelines and batch/streaming solutions; select appropriate tools; contribute to data strategy and roadmap; produce clear design docs and diagrams. • Execution & delivery: Oversee and contribute to development, testing, and deployment of complex data infrastructure; ensure performance, code quality, and maintainability; troubleshoot complex issues; deliver predictably. • Collaboration & communication: Translate business needs into technical solutions; collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Leadership; manage stakeholder expectations. Skills Required • 10+ yrs Data Engineering, 2+ yrs Machine Learning, 2+ yrs leading data engineers • Proficiency with Machine Learning, preferably end to end into production.
