Remote Lead Software Engineer Principal Software Engineer - $180-210k + 20% bonus Position Overview We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead our development team in designing and implementing scalable software solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to to help migrate and build consumer facing high traffic products from the ground up. Key Responsibilities • Lead efforts to build and migrate features from the current LAMP stack application to Google Cloud using state of the art techstack using NodeJs, VueJS, CloudSQL and Google Cloud technologies. • Architect and implement robust backend services and APIs using PHP, MySQL, and NoSQL databases. • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables. • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team. • Implement best practices in software development, including CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews. • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of applications deployed on GCP. Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 10+ years of experience delivering commercial cloud-based software applications • Deep knowledge of full stack apps using Vue, Node, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and microservices • UI experience scaling across different browsers and devices • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS is a plus • Experience with Git and familiarity with the Github workflow. • Knowledge of PHP applications (migration experience preferred) • Experience with MySQL database and NoSQL data stores • Strong experience in building automated testing solutions with CI/CD Benefits Zero premium and zero co-pay insurance plans for the whole family (Medical, Dental and Vision) 401k w/ 4% matching Bonus Equity Unlimited PTO Remote stipend Gym/wellness stipend Vacation travel allowance - $1,500/year for flight tickets Entertainment allowance - $1,500/year for entertainment/events • For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
